Vacation in Ghana.

Found on the western coast of Africa, Republic of Ghana is one the most promising states in the continent mostly renowned for its gold and salt mines. AKA the Gold Coast, Republic of Ghana was the 1st African country to gain autonomy from the UK colonial rule. Ghana became independent in the year 1957.

The country is bordered on the west by Ivory Coast, on the north by Burkina Faso and Togo on the east.

Ghana is spread over an area of 92,100 square kilometers and has an approximate population of twenty-three million.

British is the official language in this country. The town of Accra is the commercial center and the capital of Ghana. The town is home to Kotoka International airfield, which is able to house even the biggest of aircrafts. Hiring an auto or SUV is simple to do, as many of the bigger Accra hotels offer this service. Drivers are often excellent guides and can explain the different attractions in detail.

Taxis are an alternate way to go about Accra, but you have to be conscious of the different types there are. Many taxis are not metered, you may arrange a fee with the driver before you leave but some taxis are metered, and they have an inclination to be rather more costly. These can be a particularly productive way to go thru Accra and a technique to hit all of the most desired traveller spots.

On your sightseeing tour, these are some of the not to miss attractions.

The museum also boasts many pieces from all over Africa including Zulu wooden statues, bronze heads from Nigeria and carvings from the Congo.

Agriculture and trade are the 2 most crucial occupations of the folk in Ghana.
